A special Train from Colombo to Kandy

Kandy is a favorites destination for visitors during the Christmas festival season as well as for students during the December school vacation.

A special train will be deployed from Colombo to Kandy to cater the high demand of passengers during the festival season, says General Manager of Railway Mr. Dilantha Fernando. This train leaves Colombo railway station at 9.00 a.m. and reaches Kandy at 11.30 a.m. This train again starts it journey from 4.55 p.m. from Kandy to reach Colombo at 7.30 p.m.

He further stated that this service will be provided till 2nd January.

Railway Department further confirmed that a special train will be in service on 20th , 21st and 22nd from Colombo to Badulla.
